GAMIFICAMOOC Hello again everyone! After a long season, I'm back! I've really missed writing here, but better late than never! Today, I want to tell you about a course which is related to Gamification, called " Gamificación en el Aula " . This Mooc is developed by AprendeINTEFF, the National Institute of Educational Technologies and Teacher Training. Image by AprendeINTEF The author of this course is Clara Cordero and the coordinator is María Brea . The course lasts about a month and each week they share a lesson. I am sure that I will discover many resources to take advantage of.  If you want to find more information check it out on Facebook or Twitter with the hastag #GamificaMooc . This first lesson was about the concept of gamification which has been used from different perspectives. To begin with, Nick Pelling , a video game designer, was the first to coin the term and to establish the direct relationship between the game and the process. However, with Gar

REFLECT ON MY OWN LEARNING

My Reflection Hi everybody! Today, I would like to share with you my reflection about my learning process . For this reason, I chose Genially in order to show you a general view of my trip. As you can see, I did an interactive infographic with Genially . In general terms, I represented the assignments through a timeline where I briefly explained the activities and showed my creations during this course. In fact, if you click on each unit, it will appear a small window . So, there are labels and windows in this part.  Don´t forget to have a look the balloons , because they explain some aspects such as: what I liked the most and least of all, what I found more and less useful, what I intend to use in the classroom from now on, some key ideas that I take from the course and a reflection on what the participation in the course has meant for me. Sincerely, I used Genially because I really love it  and it allows you to add everything that you need. In fact, I recorded an audio to

THE WORLD IS MY AUDIENCE

An Awesome Exchange Good morning! Today, I would like to share with you an awesome story which I recorded using Flipgrid . In this case, it was to an educational collaborative project worldwide called The World is My Audience . It´s simple, you just record a video sharing a story about your life.  From my point of view, Flipgrid is a platform which allows you several options. For instance, as a teacher you could record to yourself explaining an activity or even asking your students any topic. In this way, they would answer you through this tool while they are improving their listening, speaking, reading and writing   as well.  On the other hand, each teacher has the chance to share ideas, educational projects or any experience at schools in order to enrich and support to another teachers. Only then, it grows as a person. Remember:  "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together" African Proverb.  Personally, I explained an international ex

VIDEO PROJECT

Pluto´s Dream Hello everybody!  This week, I was working in a video clip . Can you remember my storyboard ?  This video is related to that story. As you know, the fable tells us about a little dog, called Pluto, who dreams with a better life.  First of all, I kept in mind my possibilities in order to record a video at home. Secondly, I took a green bed sheet and some fluffy toys. In this way, I recorded my video clip. After that, I used  VSDC Free Video Editor   to delete the green background and replace it by pictures. Then, I utilised Movie Maker to add music and  give a touch of sophistication and professionalism. It´s true that VSDC allows you to do this actions, but I prefered Movie Maker to work on these last details.  Sincelery, the process was quite long but also enjoyable . I´ve learnt how to use VSDC and make a video with chroma key after all. However, I had some problems editing the video because of several creases in the bed sheet. Finally,  I did the best I cou

STORYBOARD

Pluto´s Dream Good evening!  Today, I would like to show you a fable called Pluto´s dream. I created it with Storyboard , a fantastic tool to design comics or stories. As you can imagine, you have lots of layouts and possibilities. Have you already designed your story? Come on! Time flies! As you can see, I designed six scenes in 2x3 format and I created a  fable  because through it, we trasmit and teach  values  such as: friendship, perseverance, loyalty, empathy etc. This fable tells us about a little dog, called Pluto, who dreams with a better life. In addition, his family doesn´t want him due to his age. However, some friends (a duck, a chicken, a rabbit and a panda) help and encourage him. In fact, some of them have another problems and try to look for a solution all together. To sum up, the moral of this fable is  thanks to your friends´support, you could overcome any difficulty .  From my point of view, I would start my lessons with a fable. In this way,

Audio Project Good afternoon! How are you?  This week, I was working in a Natural Science  project to my future students. This project, called " Discovering Living Beings ", is  focused  on 4th grade of Primary Education. In general, there are three sessions of fifty minutes in which students will do a presentation and a podcast in groups, to learn about the vertebrate and invertebrate animals.  Basically, pupils will learn through a cooperative work, a significant learning and a thinking- based learning. Thanks to these methodologies, they will learn how to work as a team, to solve possible problems, acquire knowledge without forgetting it and to develop their cognitive and critical thinking. Here, I embed you the whole document and as you can see, I used Google Docs . To explain to my future students the project, I created a podcast . Firstly, a podcast is an audio file similar to a radio broadcast, which can be downloaded and listened to on a co

Tips To Entertain Yourself At Home Good afternoon!  We´re living a difficult situation, but we must keep working our brain.  For this reason, I designed an infographic about some advices to bear this situation.  Firstly, an infographic is a visual way of representing key information . This type of tool makes more attractive and motivating to read information. In fact, it´s a good way to learn how to summarize and organize your ideas.  There´re a lot of tools such as:  Easel.ly ,  Piktochart ,  Canva ,  Smore ,  Tackk , Mural.ly or Padlet .  From my point of view, thanks to Piktochart you can create an interactive infographic easily. It´s simple from the beginning, because you have the chance to use a template and edit it, or create your own. What´s more, you might add pictures from your computer or choose among Piktochart´s pictures. Y ou could insert charts, maps, videos, shapes and icons in order to decorate your creation as well. Currently, they allow you to
